It was almost as if Friday’s game was being replayed all over again, only the scorecards of the teams were exchanged. While Lanka batted first and successfully defended a low score in the first ODI at Hambantota, Pakistan reversed the procedure at the same venue on Sunday.

Pakistan squandered a great opportunity to go 1-0 up in the two match T20 series at Hambantota. They restricted Sri Lanka to a very achievable 132 but only had themselves to blame for blowing away the chance.
